CONTROLLER

SUMMARY:
Responsible for the efforts and results of the finance/accounting department in keeping with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including applicable Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) regarding all financial and accounting activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
  • Oversee quarterly financial review. To include 15-month financial forecast. Assist CFO with QFR presentations.
  • Oversee design, review and maintenance of the Company’s accounting system. This includes maintaining financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure cost accounting data is provided to Program Management for the preparation of Quarterly Program Reviews .
  • Provide accounting/financial inputs for management meetings as required.
  • Primary point of contact with outside accountants, auditors, and administrative & service providers. This is to include GAAP and Governmental audits.
  • Ensure accurate Company financial/accounting data is provided in support of Company taxes prepared by outside CPA firm.
  • Review preparation of tax records (W-2 and K-1 Forms) for employees and Members.
  • Review financial/accounting reports necessary to comply with State and Federal requirements.
  • Be key resource for data analytic requirements and setup, financial and otherwise.
  • Other job duties as required for this position
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise all accounting employees and other assigned administrative staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Potential for advancement to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position within 5-7 years

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master
’s Degree (M.S.) in accounting, or equivalent; and at least 15 years accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Accreditation as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) preferred.
