Job Summary

Provides overall planning, direction, coordination, management and supervision for accounting. Oversees all accounting processes to ensure that internal and external reporting adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Core Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the oversight of all accounting staff including assignment of workload, review of work, training/support and the hiring/review of all accountants.
•  Prepare financial statements for all entities, examine variances and review with CFO prior to monthly finance committee meetings.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation.
•  Review processes regarding internal control to determine if controls are meeting the objectives they were designed to meet.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required: Bachelor's Degree in applicable area or equivalent experience

Experience

Required: Five (5) years experience working at a CPA firm, in healthcare accounting, or in a specialized area such as Medicaid/Medicare audits.
