Responsibilities
- Process monthly JIB close procedures
- Prepare SWD allocations
- Prepare monthly overhead entry
- Update allocation groups monthly
- JIB supervisor reviews, transfers, and posts all AP transactions via Workflow
- Prepare Time and Expenses entries to be billed out
- Prepare entry to bill out Vehicle/Equipment/Property Insurance
- Process material transfers and reconcile inventory monthly
- Update monthly electricity allocation
- Prepare entry to employee insurance and benefits
- Handles and/or coordinates with DO all JIB accounting owner inquiries
- Process prior period JIB adjustments
- Maintain AFE/Billing category codes
- Process Non-Op JIBs
- Enters JIB manual checks, ACH & wires
- Account reconciliation of select accounts
- Manages AR collection
- Update and distribute monthly LOS reports
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry
- Experience in Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables and/or GL Accounting and Analysis.
Mandatory Skills
- Possess Intermediate Excel skills. At a minimum, you should be able to create a pivot table and do VLOOKUPs.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data and making computations to compile financial records
- Experience with setting up accounting functions/process
- Experience with Enertia accounting software is a plus
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate..
- Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
