Assistant Controller

We are seeking a qualified Assistant Controller to join our client's growing team in Tulsa. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline, preferably accounting, or at least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and financial reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, reporting findings to leadership

• Monitor cash flow and support purchasing and accounts payable functions

• Oversee RFP processes and assist with capital budget development

• Support board and committee reporting needs

• Serve as a backup to the CFO for audits, budgeting, and financial analysis

• Collaborate with program directors on housing operations and compliance

• Manage and evaluate staff performance
  
  Key Skills and Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of nonprofit accounting, compliance, and financial reporting

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in financial systems including QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel

• Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both office and remote settings

• Self-motivated with strong initiative
