The Corporate Controller is responsible for leading all accounting operations for a multi-entity organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the ongoing effectiveness of internal controls. This role partners closely with executive leadership and finance leadership to support strategic decision-making, financial oversight, and budgeting/forecasting processes.
The Corporate Controller will manage and develop the accounting team, including general ledger and accounts payable/receivable functions, while collaborating with FP&A leadership and the CFO to deliver timely, reliable financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the monthly close process for U.S. entities and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Partner with FP&A leadership and the CFO to prepare monthly financial statements, business line reporting, KPI reporting, executive and board presentations, and bank reporting
Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles
Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure compliance, and support enterprise risk management
Continuously improve costing methodologies and reporting tools in coordination with operations
Oversee balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis
Drive cost-reduction initiatives and operational productivity improvements
Analyze and communicate the impact of foreign currency transactions and translations
Lead the annual external audit process
Coordinate with external tax advisors on property, franchise, state, and partnership tax filings and compliance
Support acquisition integration related to financial records, systems, and internal controls
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
MBA and/or CPA preferred
10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
5+ years of close and reporting responsibility in a multi-site organization
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferred
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical abilities
Proven ability to analyze financial and non-financial data and communicate insights effectively across all organizational levels
