The Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting functions. This role manages financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting support, and regulatory compliance while partnering closely with the CFO to support strategic financial initiatives and business decision-making. Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
Reconcile all bank accounts and the Line of Credit account on a daily basis
Prepare and present internal financial statements and reports
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in collaboration with the CFO
Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Qualifications and Capabilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility in the role of Controller
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Experience managing audits and working with external auditors
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
