Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Perform various balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assist in month end close process, including performing journal entries
  • Assist with month end report preparation and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Perform material/inventory costing, ensuring that costs are accurate and current. This will include problem solving, understanding what actions need to be taken to cost a part, and working with purchasing and engineering to cost new parts.
  • Update and maintain policies and procedures documentation for GL accounts
  • Substantiates financial data by analysis, inquiry, and verification.
  • Assists in developing, implementing, managing and continually measuring the verification process for ensuring the accuracy of inventory at the facility.
  • Assists in developing, implementing and managing inventory GL accuracy.

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience: Minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in the accounting profession. Experience should provide a solid understanding of financial statements, general ledger, and sub-ledgers. Cost accounting experience preferred.
Computer Skills 
Competency using Word and Excel/Open Office
ERP system experience preferred
