Looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join a strong Accounting department! This individual will be responsible for managing financial analysis, budgeting and revenue/cost recognition.
Some responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the CFO, COO, Controller, Operations Directors/Managers or others as requested. Provide all financial and analytical support.
  • Manage areas of financial analysis, routine and non-routine, including but not limited to:
    • Data gathering
    • Presentation of financial data and operational metrics, both in writing and in person, as necessary
    • Reporting Budgeting
    • Investigating and resolving issues
    • Interpreting financial results
    • Providing recommendations and guidance
  • Develop and monitor the annual operating and capital budgets and periodic forecast updates. Prepare and distribute budget and forecast analysis reports for management review.
  • Demonstrate a healthy sense of professional skepticism; review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Work closely with Controller and Accounting Manager maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual federal tax returns 990’s
  • Serve as liaison with Operation Directors, assisting them with accounting related service issues.
  • Facilitate site and provider meetings to review productivity and provider contract analysis including recommendations to members, drafting of contracts and presentation to providers.
  • Assure implementation of internal controls and generally accepted accounting procedures accounting.
  • Manage, coach, develop and evaluate staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required
  • Five years of accounting, analysis and statistical reporting experience including three years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in non-profit accounting.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, analysis and reporting to design, modify and manage the financial reporting of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to multi-task, be a flexible problem solver and be a team player.
  • Strong understanding of national, state and local regulations and laws as they pertain to the healthcare industry and GAAP
