Accounting Manager - Controller

  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Pay bills and ensure they are paid as per agreements
  • Manage cash including doing daily bank reconciliations and weekly cash forecasts
  • Work with management to ensure they are getting timely all of the information they need to run the business
  • Manage QuickBooks and driving to ensure it captures all information needed to minimize duplicate systems
  • Provide final payroll approval before it is released
  • Provide backup to office managers for when they are out
  • Ensure tax returns are filed timely and completely
  • Manage corporate insurance making sure the coverages are in place to meet MSA requirements and COI’s are all kept current
  • Manage banking relationships
  • Coordinate new vehicle purchases while ensuring the best financing rates and ensuring leases/debt is properly booked
  • Track fixed assets and calculate depreciation
  • Publish month end financials ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and financial package is distributed to management within 10 days of the end of the month (or as soon as practical once the payroll accrual can be made)
  • Coordinate all audit requirements for auditors, banks, and workers comp
  • Drive special projects such as payroll initiatives, optimizing IT utilization
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years experience in accounting
  • Quickbooks experience preferred
