We are recruiting for a client with an opportunity as Chief Financial Officer for a fast-growing company headquartered in the North Platte - Gothenburg area

The Candidate
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will be an integral member of the leadership team and will be responsible for the total company’s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and treasury and participate in strategic planning, operational decision making, and acquisitions.     

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving financial results and be a dynamic leader.  The successful candidate should be a strong communicator and negotiator, and capable of extending influence beyond core finance topics.  The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge and technical experience: 
  • Education:  a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college and MBA or CPA license.
  • Experience:  a minimum of 10 years of professional financial management; the ideal candidate has been the Chief Financial Officer of a company with $20MM+ in revenues, experience in distribution or transportation industry; prior national or regional public accounting experience preferred; 
  • Solid Accounting Knowledge: will have a thorough understanding of GAAP accounting.
  • Strong Business Acumen and Analytical Skills:  must be proficient in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling; must have a demonstrated facility for reaching sound business decisions after developing and reviewing available financial information.
  • Management Reporting Skills: will be capable of developing and delivering timely financial metrics for executive management to use in managing the business and for investors to use in monitoring the business.
  • Strategic Perspective/Growth:  must be able to meaningfully participate in developing strategies to support a rapid growth plan; the ideal candidate will have had acquisition and/or start up experience.
  • Excellent Leadership and Managerial Skills: must have propensity to take responsibility, move forward, and encourage others to share the vision; excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfort Level with Information Technology:  will use technology to improve access to information needed to run the business; an ideal candidate will have an opinion on the accounting software to be implemented as well as experience with accounting system implementations.
  • Capital Markets and Investor Management:  must be familiar with the dynamics of the outside financial community, including commercial lenders and private equity investors.
