Commodity Buyer

Privately held manufacturer of engineered to order capital equipment has an immediate need for a Commodity Buyer: 

 

This individual must be adept at the following opportunities in this business:

• Negotiation of all terms & conditions for major commodities (Metals - Plate, Tube, Bar and key components, etc)

• Understanding of make-buy analysis ROI and ability to create a business case

• Indirect consumable understanding and management

• Ability to work with Engineering, Operations and Sales. 

Prefer a BS degree and prior experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.  
Prefer prior metals  knowledge.  
Prior Leadership in supply chain is preferred. (this role has no direct reports but is responsible for a very high amount of $$ spend)
