FUNCTION:  Lending Department                                                      
This position is responsible for the assistance of managing a loan portfolio in conjunction with a Chief Lending Officer.  Duties will include managing loan renewals, spreading/analyzing financial statements, credit analysis/credit memo preparation, going on customer calls with the Chief Lending Officer, and interacting with customers.  Develop and convert leads into new business. In addition, this position will perform annual reviews, assist with reporting to Loan Committee, and assist the executive staff with decision making on new and renewed loans.  The position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
Assisting in the management of a loan portfolio, including timely renewal of loans, perform credit analysis on existing loans and new loan requests.   Perform detailed credit analysis on simple and complex customer relationships.

  1. Work closely with executive management to manage and grow a loan portfolio
  2. Develop and convert leads to new loans funded by the bank
  3. Perform financial/credit analysis; write detailed credit memos on new loan proposals, as well as, loan renewals and annual credit reviews on larger relationships
  4. Prepare and present detailed credit memos, collateral analysis and terms of credit
  5. Ability to work closely with the lenders and credit department personnel
  6. Ability to perform stress testing on individual credits
  7. Strong financial spreading and Excel spreadsheet experience
  8. Working knowledge of banking regulations, as related to lending and operations
  9. Work closely with department management to ensure successful and timely delivery of work performed
  1. Strong understanding of financial analysis and accounting/accounting principles
  2. Ability to appropriately structure a loan to coincide with a borrower’s cash flow
  3. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills
  5. Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
  6. Excellent organizational and communication skills
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point 
Additional responsibilities as assigned and light travel may be required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in finance, or a related field. Prefer a minimum of three years of lending experience in banking or a closely-related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Mobility to travel in and around office facilities and customer locations
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS: Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions
VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:  Sufficient to perform job duties
